I had to post this video of Madelyn because she was just jibber jabbering away in her bath. It was so funny! "Yeah Daddy!!!" was the key phrase although you won't hear it as much in this video. We were taping her for a long while before I decided to do a quick clip so I could post it on here. Enjoy!

I love camping....I really do...
Madelyn LOVES the water and splashing herself and watching the kids play. She got a little tan this time from being out so much. It's cute, her belly is so white and her arms have a tint to them. (don't get the wrong idea, I slathered 50 block all over her many times)
She enjoyed taking her bath outside using the spout from Aunt Julie and Uncle Steve's fifth wheel and having an audience of 20+ everytime.
As much as I was ready to get the heck out of there during the rain....it was a little sad packing up on Sunday. We had a great time. Can't wait for next year!
Girls just wanna have fun:)

So excited!

We are going camping this week and I cannot wait! I used to camp all the time and now it's been a couple years since I've been. These pics are of us camping 2 years ago. (I forget where) We are going to sugarloaf near Chelsea with Robert's family and aunts and uncles etc. We're staying 3 nights and will have a wedding one of those nights that we will leave for and return afterwards. I'll post pics when we return!
I just hope it all works out with a 7 month old in tote:)
If anyone has any tips they learned the hard way...I'm open to them!!
Happy Birthday Hubbs:)
Last night we had the whole gang over for Robert's 26th birthday. This was the first time having more than just a set of parents over at one time to our little place but it worked out great. We had plenty of room and we had a great time. I was so excited to throw Robert a little bday bash and even more excited for him to open up his present!!!! I was so sneaky and was able to find out (from him) what set of golf irons he had his eye on, get them from out of town, AND convince him that I wasn't going to spend $200+ on a single present for him...because ya know....."I don't have a job" hahah So without him knowing I took up a collection (ha), made a few phone calls to track down this set, planned a mothere-daughter shopping trip with Madelyn while he had a golf outing in Detroit, drove to Okemos to get them, found out they had just sold the last set before I got there(they couldn't hold over night), called to Eastwood to check on them, drove to Eastwood to get them, tried to be old fashion by writing a check so that it wouldn't show in the bank account right away (spoiling the surprise), had my check rejected by a "code 2" (wtf???), opted for my DEBIT card (same account as the check!!!-duh!!!), debit card worked just fine so I walked out with a new set of irons, hubby had to swear not to check the bank account online for another day....ANNDDDD all this time he was convinced that I didn't get him the irons bc it would have been too much for me to spend on him:)
So Sunday night we had his parents, my parents, Savannah (visiting us from VA!!), his sister Heidi and her kids Brady and Reilynn and my parents over for cake and icecream. I made a confetti cake with the best frosting everrrrr- RAINBOW CHIP:)mmmmmm and Robert's favorite Cherry Cordial icecream and my Mackinac Island Fudge:) delightful. He opened up his cards and while he was doing that I ran downstairs to grap his box and brought them up. He was so SURPRISED and totally not expecting to get them! My dad brought over some whiffle balls and he hit some in the backyard. He also was trying to teach Brady and Savannah to swing a club- it was cute. We had a great night:)

Ready to take off!
Madelyn's trying so hard to crawl but hasn't quite figured out how to lift her knees and hands up off the floor in a coordinated motion. She can spin around with just moving her hands and arms around. She also has the backwards "scoot" down pat and can pretty much get to anything she wants. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth but that's as far as she gets. Another trick she does is standing up on her toes and hands, making a V like formation. That ones hard to catch on camera but I hope to get it before she starts actually crawling. She's such a sweetheart!
A few random pics:)
Madelyn's1st keyboard of her own! For some reason it's just not as cool as sitting on daddy's lap pounding the real keyboard and watching everything on the screen go crazy!
All cleaned up and ready for bed! She loves her bathtime:)
da-da! da-da! da-da!
da-da! da-da! da-da! Madelyn's most recent and most popular sounds from her mouth lately. She does say maamaa but its usually when she is wining or crying and wants me. She loves to show off how well she can say daadaadaa whenever possible. It's sooo cute and Robert just melts each time...(and so do I!)
She is always so excited to see her dada when he gets home from work. I work up such an anticipation for his arrival and when he finally gets home, she can't take her eyes (and hands) off him. These pics are of Madelyn's never ending curiosity of her dada's face and new hat!!

Healthy eating....
So I have been saying this all summer but I REALLY, I mean REALLY need to start being more careful with what I put into my mouth and start eating healthier meals. It's been really hard this summer (not that it just started over the summer) to make healthy choices for lunch, dinner etc. With all the dinner invitations, summer cookouts and meals on the go, it's rare for Robert and I to sit down for dinner at our house, the 3 of us and eat a nice healthy meal prepared by ME. That happens maybe twice a week and that's all. I really hope that once the summer ends and we get into more of a schedule, we can get back on track with our eating. I'm not saying this so that I can lose weight (although my hubby can stand to lose a few-lol) but just to feel better physically and of course....be healthy.
Things I need start limiting:
1. French Fries:(
2. chips
3. cheese
4. sweets aka cookies
Oh how I looooove my fries and that will be hard to give up. I figure as long as I can keep my eating out to a minimum- I will be fine with this. (and shoot-we'll save money!!) But boy do I crave fries a lot. Chips won't be too hard, I just won't keep many bags in the house. With the cheese, I just want to start limiting how much I add to my food. I had to limit it when Madelyn's stomach was sensitive to it, so I'm sure I can do this again. Cookies- I have a bad habbit of buying those darn 2 dozen Nestle Toll House blocks of cookie dough and throwing a batch in the oven a few nights a week. I suppose I will stop doing that too....
Well that's my plan- BUT it might not work too well until next month. I'll do my best!

My little companion:)
Last week I bought Madelyn a little pool at Toys-R-Us and she loves to go swimming in it. She loves the water and splashing her little heart out- it's so cute. We're home everday so it's fun to have little things that we like to do during the day. One of them being swimming. We have a big inground pool but it's hard to swim with just the two of us, get dried off and all bc she's still so young. Anyway with this pool it's just her size and it's a perfect afternoon activity in the sun for us:) The best part- she completely zonks out afterwards! Everytime we have gone swimming-without fail, she crashes within 20 minutes of getting dressed. It's great! She's going to be our little fish in the years to come!

One more day...
So yesterday morning I rolled over in bed to notice how sore my boobs were and that I had wet circles from both of them leaking. Not too unusual since Madleyn has been sleeping 12 hours at night. Anyway I rolled over to get comfortable and looked at the clock. 7:25- "Love, it's 7:25- you forgot to set your alarm!!!!!" Robert always gets up at 7 am and is out the door at 7:30 so this was late for him. He jumped out of bed and into the bathroom, still asleep. He stuck his head under the water in the tub to wet his hair and fake a shower. While he's doing this I'm thinking to myself "crap I didn't iron his clothes either!" So I got up and did a quick scan of his shirts hanging in the closet, chose the one that looked the best and paired it with some black pants that were already ironed. He came back in the room and started getting dressed. I'm still sitting there thinking "how the heck did we totally forget all these things we usually do the night before he has to work?" and "man these weekend keep getting shorter and shorter and flying by sooo fast." I was getting sad that the weekend was over and then it dawned on me that we were supposed to be at the lake with everyone on Sunday and that never happened. Just as Robert was adding the final touch, spraying his cologne- "LOVE, IT'S SUNDAY!!!!!" Robert was about 10 seconds away from walking out the door and heading to work when I realized we were a day ahead of ourselves. We burst out laughing and couldn't stop cracking up!! I guess you had to be there but it was HILARIOUS because we were both half asleep and neither of us realized it was Sunday AND Robert was all ready to walk out the door! hahahha We tried to fall back asleep but it just didn't happen. We had a good laugh and we're relieved to find out we still had one more day left of the weekend...:)
